Hey there, anyone know where I can get some new axle brackets? I need to replace mine and the only ones I have found are these ones on Performance on line, but the look totally different than the stock ones. If they will work fine I'll get them, especially for the price. Cheap.
Thanks.

Thats what everyone I know uses if they are not doing an origional restoration, you just use U bolts with them. RM

Definitely not an original restoration. I just want to make sure these will work with in place of the stock ones on my 64?
Thanks

You might try the first gen Camaro parts suppliers. Ricks has them in his cataloge.

Those ae the universal spring perches and work good. Here's a secret. Go to your local dodge dealership and order part # P4120074 from their performance catalog. They are only like $10-15 for a pair and they are way better looking. Plus no shipping charge. They can get them in a few days.

If you want original, go to ChevyllParts. I got mine there and they are really nice. Dave

Yep thems the ones. I like them better because they " saddle" the spring.

yes we use thos also but the do cost more. I thought he wanted that style so that's why I sugested a cheaper better option for a universal perch set.

Yea most do opt for the other type. For some reason the saddle style just make me feel more comfortable. Maybe I'll think of a better reason why later,LOL.:D

just wanted to throw this out there so nobody makes the same mistake i did. the factory style will not work on 9 inch rear because the axle tube diameter is bigger than what is on a GM rear.:o

So does this sound like it will work? I'm thinking of using DSE adjustable leaf spring pads, and competition engineering offset spring hangers to gain a couple of inches. I figure it will be easier to set up the rear with the adjustable mounts. Especially when setting the pinion angle and getting the rear centered. Once it's all set weld them on.
If anyone thinks this is a bad idea please let me know.

Moser sells them for the 12 bolt 3.0 diameter and the 9" 3.25 diameter.
