I ordered an energy suspension upper and lower control arm kit part # 3.3160g and I am confused on what washers to use. It says that "The original end cap washers must not be reused. Use the supplied 2" O.D, washers" The problem is that I didnt get any washers in the kit. I called summit and asked them about it and he said that another guy had a similar problem with a camaro and that they just dont include the washers on cars this old. Sounds a little strange to me...

The washers go on the upper control arm and go between the bushing and the lock washer and nut on the control arm mounting bar.

The stock washers are shaped in a way that once tightened will put pressure on the inner tube/shell but then not tighen much agaisnt the rubber of the bushing. I was thinking about just going to Home-Depot to find flat washers but for some reason I get the idea that you're supposed to have some kind of special washers. I dunno, has anyone ever bought this kit and what did it come with? Any one expierenced the same problems? Thanks for any help.

I had to use some of my old hardware also, including those washers (even though mine is a different year).

The washers that came with my Energy kit looked to be simple grade 8 flat washers. I bought my kit YEARS ago, and had it laying around until the recent rebuild.

I'm not surprised they stopped including them. Even the ones I had had incorrectly sized holes drilled in them.
