Question on 73-74 pull straps.

73-74 Nova's use a pull strap on the door from what I have seen. I have two sets of them. While the actual pull strap is the same on both the metal ends are different. One set has small 1.5" long chrome metal pieces on both sides of the pull strap while the other has the small chrome piece on the front and a 14-16" chrome piece that mounts to the rear.

What I was wondering is one of these for a different interior trim level or is it for a different year all together?

Any help on this would be appreciated!

On a Nova Custom, it'll have the longer piece on the back end of the strap...On a regular Nova (or somebody like myself that doesn't like the look of the Custom trim so I went with the base model style) it'll have 2 rounded end pieces that are identical.

I've never seen that long back trim piece in chrome, it might be rare. I've seen a lot of 73 Custom Nova's and they usually have wood grain on that piece.

Well they could have had a wood grain sticker in the center of them at one time, but I don't think so. They may be for a Ventura, Apollo, or Omega again not sure. I just wanted an idea so when I list them on Evil bay one of these days I can make sure they come up in the right catagory. The straps appear to be in really good shape, but the crome on these long pieces has some pretty good pitting. I recently saw a strap sell on E-bay for a 74, but it had metal end pieces. The ones I have have two holes stamped through them on each end. One holds the handle in place the other goes through the chrome trim then the handle then into the door. Oh well, I really have no need of them, but building up cash for more parts I do need is a good thing!!
