I went to the track last weekend and, when I got back I wanted to see if it would hook on the street! I left these marks when I hit the 100 shot from a dead stop with 26x11.5x15 Hoosier Quick Time Pros on the car! I don't think its hookin at all!http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n150/novanut72/be3b201c.jpg

I stalled the car up to 2600 rpms and then just nailed it to the floor. Its got a 3000 converter in it with a 4.11 gear and those 26x 11.5 hoosiers on it. I have gottena 1.62 60 foot on just a 75 shot. Last weekend I pulle a 1.78 on the motor and wit the 100 shot it only cut a 1.75 60 foot; it was 97 degrees that day so the track just wouldn't hook.

Nice lookin car . But what happened to the top of the fan shroud ?

In regards to the fan shroud when I first got the car it had a broken engine mount and when it wuhld torque over the fan would hit the shroud. It was a solid steel fan. The front air dam is off of a 69 camaro. I'm thinking about changing it to one like dkdust has on his. any thoughtson what I should do.

Thanks for all the compliments! I wish the car was all that color again. I have been doing body work to it I just finished the passenger side quarter pannel. On thursday night a nine year old girl on one of those electric scooter things lost control and slamed into the back of the car. Needless to say the rear bumper was off n she dented the tail light bezle and rear panned she also bent the flange where the rubber gasket goes. It is all repairable though.
