NovaSS396L34 3rd-August-2006, 06:58 PM Seems to me both 69 & 69 lenses say 68 on them because they used them for 2 years. The dash is gonna be the most obvious difference. kidsjustine 3rd-August-2006, 07:36 PM 1968 had ignition in dash, three post steering wheel, unique door panels, and seats. heater controls on the left side of dash, small matching emblems on door panels and right side of dash pad, white side marker lights on front fenders, nova emblems on quarter panels. 1968 novas were in my opinion the best year. Nova_Guy 3rd-August-2006, 08:21 PM From what I have saw on trim parts like tail lights. If the part didn't change from one year to the nest the part number stayed the same on the part. The tail lights in my 79 Blazer were the same as a 73 Blazer. The part numbers were the same until they changed. onecarnut 4th-August-2006, 07:37 AM I think the tail lights are identical in 68 and 69. On the exterior, the headlight bezels on the 68 do not have the hole to use for adjusting the lights. Another difference is the 68s had Chevy II markings front and back where 69 changed to Nova. skeen70 5th-August-2006, 01:39 PM Yes, 68 and 69 lenses were the same. I think the tail lights were made in 1968 and used it for two years (68 n 69) BTW, welcome to the site Nenova. I live in DeWitt (about 40 miles south of Lincoln) and I have 1970 Nova :) Skeen supernovanator 5th-August-2006, 07:13 PM yes, nenova, welcome! RatNova71 5th-August-2006, 07:50 PM I am pretty sure the lenses always show 1 year before the model year of the vehicle. My 71 lenses say 70 and my 72's say 71. Has to do with when the lenses were actually produced. | |
