What's everyone running for exhaust systems and why? Please be specific:D

JR 1 5/8" headers,modified and fit with 4-2-1 2 3/4" collectors. 2 1/2" cross over, Flowmaster 40's,and turndowns .

My 70 ss 396 has Hooker headers, 2 1/2 mandrel bent pipes w/ H pipe, and Flowmaster 40's.

My 70 ss 355 has hooker headers,2 1/2 inch pypes,flowtech termanater mufflers,with the tail pypes run just like factory.:D :D :D

Hedman headers with 3" collectors, 2 1/2" pipe, Flowmaster 3 chamber 50 series mufflers, and 2 1/2" pipe out to underneath the back bumper on each side. A great sound at idle and doesn't cackle at all. It's not too quiet, but not too loud either.

Stock exaust manifolds into dual 2.25 pipes into a Flowmaster 80 series transversial muffler.....because that's what the car came with. (I added the muffler)

My BB has Hooker 2" comps with 3.5" collectors and 3" Flomasters.

I've been running this 3" system because the exhaust from my good combo won't fit the heads on the junker 350 that currently resides in my car. Another reason is I picked up all the tubing for free from vendors at the SEMA show in Vegas last year, and Dale had the single chamber Flowmasters.
Now I'm putting the big system back on because with the good heads this one won't work. The big one is 3 1/2" w/Dr.Gas X-pipe and Borla Sportsman mufflers behind Davis Step headers (1 3/4", 1 7/8", 2" w/3 1/2" coll.)
BTW, this picture is the system that is for sale along with the rusty Hooker 1 7/8" Super Competition headers--cheap!

Hokkers SC 2" and 3" mandrel bent all the way back with flowmasters super 40's mufflers....

Hooker super comp 1 7/8", 3" collectors, ceramic coated. Torque tech 3" pipes. Flowmasters. Exhaust comes all the way to the back. Dumps flush with the bottom of the rear 1/4 behind the rear wheels.

Patriot ceramic coated mid-length headers pouring into 2.5 inch exhaust with 40 series dual chamber flowmasters, dumps out after muffler.

Hedman headers into 2.5" exhaust with H-pipe, dumps out right after mufflers, which happens to be right before my rear axle:D

Some old 1-5/8" to 3" collector headers that came with my car, 3"pipe to Hooker Aerochambers, dumped before the rear axle.

355 C.I. SB strapped with Dynomax Ceramic coated headers coupled to 3" true duals muffeled by 40 Series Flowmasters. Sounds like a BB!

Hooker competition headers welded directly to 2 1/2 pipe with A crossover then into flowmasters and reduced pipe 2 1/4 out to the bumper. Seems to work okay, sounds good but kinda loud sometimes. I can't remember what series the flows are but they weren't supposed to be that loud but ... they are.

Ceramic coated Hooker super comps, 3 1/2 collectors, Hooker reducers to a 3 inch Pypes X-tube exhaust, 2- 3 inch Dynomax Bullet mufflers all for a 383 SBC with a 671 blower :D

On our 72 with the 406 it has ceramic coated hooker comps. We have 3" mandrel bent pipes with dynomax mufflers and turn downs just behind the axles. My 70 has pretty much the same setup and my 69 has nothing at this point except ceramic coated hooker comps..Also, our 72 has the H-pipe and our 70 has the Dr. Gas x-pipe.

My 71 with big block 427 is using 1 3/4 ceramic coated Hedman Elite series headers with a 2.5" Summit exhaust system. It's really throatty and screams when opened up. Sorta quiet at idle, but deep and very noticeable. It's a nice change of pace from all the Flowmasters. My 72 Ventura with hopped up 307 runs stock manifolds with 2 1/4" Hooker exhaust pipe kit with Summit mufflers. Sounds really good.:cool:

I installed the Flowmaster Force II 2.5 system and it fits and sounds great. It comes with an H pipe, transverse muffler and tailpipes. I am running stock manifolds because the car was put together as a restored stock look. I think the only thing I would change would be to cut the tailpipes shorter to exit closer to the stock location. I ran them back almost to the bumper.

I've got Flowtech ceramic coated 1 5/8" primaries, 3" collectors, 2.5" tubes with Flowmaster Super 40's. It's a bit quiet at idle, but sounds pretty good at WOT. Plus, it doesn't sound like everyone else that runs the regular 40 Series Flowmasters. :)
