hey guys, Im trying to remove the top portion of the rear seats in my 77 2 dr and the thing wont budge. i've read the "brickyardboy" bill rear seat removal guide and that has gotten all the way up to this point. I was just wondering if the 4th gens had a different way of coming out rather than lifting up. Thanks.

when i took mine out i had to lift the two locktabs on the bottom,i took the parcel shelf out, pulled the bottom towards me quite a bit ,then pushed it back to normal position, then pushed and pulled up one side at a time ,was well pushed down, hope this helps, alan :chev: :nascar:

You may already know, but there's also a screw on each side on bottom. If you don't remove them you'll just be fighting yourself. If those are already removed then as copper mentioned. They do tend to be a pain if it's never been removed before.

if you pull the bottom towards you and push it back to vertical it stretches the top upper clips,u can squeeze em down again when refitting.
