Where can I find tail light housing seals for my '73? I think they're the last thing I need for my car. Thanks to a few guys here, I found a reputable dealer on the METRO weatherstripping for my hatch. Now I need these housing seals. I've been looking everywhere. Does anybody have a source? to throw my way?

Greetings,
Nope...I reused my old ones on mine. Fortunately they seal good. I would post a message in the Wanted area...Somebody probably has a decent pair of them laying around they would sell for cheap.

I would cruise a couple of wrecking yards - and if you don't find the tail lite seals you might find something else anyway. :)
I like wrecking yards!! :D

these seals usually caused problems by thier nature to obsorb moisture. they were made out of an open cell material and held water like a sponge. even wonder why 73 and 74 nova's had rusted out areas around the tail lights? possible solution is to use the old ones but seal around the outside of the lense to the tail panel with a good urethane or silicone sealant. if silicone, due your homework and find one that DOES NOT CURE BASED ON MOISTURE PRESENT IN THE AIR. if you get one that does that, then it will continue cureing, aka....... attracting moisture out of the air. and causing more rust. sort of like when windshields were starting to be replaced with silicone sealant. the next time the wind shield came out the metal around it came out to in pieces and rust........ best of luck!
