will this aftermarket 3rd gen AC fit?

Maybe someone has any idea if this aftermarket system will fit the 4th gen too (see link to instructions)? It is a "Sure fit system" for 69-74 Novas. Some things look pretty much the same (like the oepening in the firewall) ..... but what i really dont know is, if the controls will work as mentioned in the instructions. The manufacturer doesent know either, of course ;)

I'd say it'll definitely work on 75-76 at least. As far as the vents go, it may be easier to find an original 75-76 A/C car and use the dash pad and vents from it, and even the gauge bezel if it's any good and that would save some time and you'll still have original setup to sell or replace should you decide to go back.

Not sure what you have in Germany or availability though, just a thought.

thanks for your input. Mine has the 77 dash. So the controls are a bit different to the ones of the 75-76. I also have a 77 AC Nova dash pad, so I can use the center vent. I'd defenitely love to keep the original look and not to have some extra aftermarket controls. But I would only pay this much more money, if i'm sure this setup works.

So do you have any idea if there is a big difference in the controls of a 75-76 or later models?

The controls I believe all mount the same aside from the A/C controls having an additional switch/lever for the A/C. According to those instructions however, you'd be using a modified non-A/C control with it so you'd be alright there. If you have an A/C dash pad for the 77, then I'd just use that and all you need to do then is cut the gauge bezel and the right side of dash for those vents. The rest of the setup should work fine since the firewall section is the same.

Post some pics and let us know how it goes if you decide to go with it.
