Any interest out there for a 79 hatchback, 6cyl, auto, gorcery getter.
There is one here close to me, and I know the hatchies are harder to come by. I had a 76 SS Hatchback, 3spd, and lost it to the crusher a few years back, the dumb scrap metal guy wouldn't sell it back to me. It went through 3 different owners after me, and when i finally found her, she was in line for scrap.
Anyway,
I have pictures of her, maybe i'll put a posting up in her memory. :(
Now I have a 78 rally, Black on Black with red stripes, 4sp, 305. Very original, except for the redone upolstery. Still fun. Takin her to shows this summer.

Too bad on the 76 hatch... slap the guy around a little .
The Rally looks great , and original 4 speed in a nice touch :-)
My own 77 Rally has succumbed tot he NY rust and being parted out as I type..... moment of silence ....
As for the 79 hatch - I'd be interested for sure - pricing ? etc ?
Getting it back to NY might be an issue, but you never know.

I've talked to the guy, i'm not sure about a title for the 79 hatchback.
He said he would need a couple of weeks to get her out of where she's parked, but he'd probably let her go for around 300-400.
All the glass is still there, no cracks.
The interior panels in the hatch is deteriorated.
I'll get out and get some pictures.

Wish I lived closer, I'd take it. I want a hatchback and I kinda like the square headlights on the 79's.

Nothing much left.
I was going to check on the rad support.
Rear bumper was actually very good.

I just picked up that 78 Rally that we were discussing on ebay, and he wants to turn THAT into the drag car.
I told him, i have already stripped a good one, and it just needs a drivetrain now.:) I think he'll let me have it for $200

I just got back from the yard, and the idiots didn't listen again, and I had even paid for it and had a receipt!!!!!
I went in, had my wheels and tires lined up to put on it, and roll it out-- and its gone from the spot where it was.. holy crap, not again.
Well, ya, it had 3 other cars sittin on top of it, and the front end with the RAd core support had been cut off to get the engine out for scrap... UGH!!!
Other part of the story....
I went to the yard after my 16hr drive and after a 3 hr flight, to pick up another Rally in OREGON!!! So i'm goin on no sleep, NO SLEEP! 36 hrs
Pictures and comments on another post. look for it. Along with cowl tags.
