Was there an option for a rear spoiler on Novas? I saw this today and I really like it!
Take a look at this:

I don't believe so, I think people tend to get them from the first generation camaros.

You're right it looks like the one I had on my 68 Camaro. Hmmm

IMO, the rear of the 3rd gen Nova does not look right, or good with a spoiler. The spoiler on that "restored" Nova does look a lot like a 69 Camaro spoiler. Most cars that look good with a rear spoiler have a blunt rear. The 69 Camaro does not have any angles on the rear. Same is true for the later Trans Ams. There were no angles on the rear. The 3rd gen Nova has a rear-ward slope on the end of the deck lid, which means that to get the spoiler to sit on the deck lid, it has to ahead of the slope. When you do that, how do you deal with the transition from the spoiler to the deck, and to the rest of the rear? I don't think there is any way to do it gracefully.
Also, that Nova is a SS clone.

i'd like ta get one that fits for the Flyer... had a template made too, just didn't wanna pay what they wanted... i thought they complicated it. now i never tried the early Camaro's... yer right Randy, opinions and tastes are different... good thing too or we'd be bored ;)
for a strip car, i like the flat spoilers too... i think BADA****'s car has one... those are linked in the Library.
chrome bumpers/painted bumpers... depends on the car. some i like some i don't... same as spoilers & air dams :D :D :D
i hope more info comes in, i'd like ta see more styles too...
Johnny (collecting/leaving) pennies everywhere :D :D ;)

Hey, Johnny - maybe you can get the rear spoiler chromed for your Flyer ... LOL .. that would really get 'em talkin'. Painted bumpers with chrome spoilers. :D
dksdust is the member that designed and made the molds for the front and rear spoilers for the 3rd gen Nova's and sold the hand-made parts through Chevy2Only. He has since sold his molds to Mike Holder in Billings Montana (406-252-8142); and he is currently producing and selling the spoilers. dksdust took the design cues from a '69 Camaro for the rear spoiler - but, it is a totally unique piece for the 3rd gen Nova's. I have a pair of his front spoilers on both my 3rd gen's (painted body color, BTW) and really like the look.

I disagree with Randy about the spoiler, but it is a clone. Under hood shot is a dead giveaway. hpg

Amen Brother! Preach On.
A rear spoiler just doesn't work with the body lines on a third gen. Would you seriously consider putting a rear spoiler on a '55 Chevy or '49 Merc? (If your answer is yes, please wait about an hour to post. I just ate.)

Here is the rear spoiler I use to make . Now Mike holder makes them . He can be contacted at 406-252-8142
I have a article from Car Craft april 1970 of a Dick Harrell 70 El Camino and a 70 Nova.Dick Harrell put a 454 in it.Whats neat about the 70 DH Nova is in the picture you can see it had a Stinger hood and a wing spoiler! Joel Rosen used a winged spoiler on one of his Motion Novas.
