Hey guys! I am new here :D My dad gave me his '70 Nova and it s a project car (needs a lot of work). I have several questions for you guys...the moldings for both doors are in bad shape. Can I buy the reproduction moldings from GM to replace it? How can I remove it? Let me know and thanks.

Welcome Skeen. I can't help you with your trim question ( did away with all mine) but there are a bunch of folks in here who can. You're definately in the right place to get help as you fix up your fixer-upper.

Thanks. My digital camera s not working :( I will try my best to explain. Both of my moldings are chrome and I accidently stratch on it. I found a website that s selling moldings for roof drip, hood, and windshield, but I couldn't find moldings for door and rear window.

Welcome!

With what you are describing, it sounds like the annodized aluminum door trim. There is currently none being made repro and used is somewhat hard to find.

I still have mine off my Nova, but when I save up some money, I'll send them to George Lucas (www.glmetalpolishing.com) to polish them up for me. George is a member of this forum.

You may want to post a "parts wanted" ad to see if someone may have a used set to sell.

Hope that helps.
