Mission Old Time Drags

Just a 'heads up' guys. The Old Time Drags at Mission Raceway are July29/30, not Aug 5/6 as shown on most of our car events schedules. I noticed a sign outside the Raceway and confirmed the July dates on the Mission Raceway website.

Frank, I passed on this date change to Ric today and he's already made plans to spend that weekend with friends on the Gulf Islands. I'll probably head over for the show on Saturday.

To say the least!!!!!!:( :( Actually I'm pi$$ed..... )it's always been the long weekend & we plan our summer around the events!! We will be on Maine Island for the weekend..bummer:( I totally understand though,) why Frank won't race.......... na, na,... na,na,na!! Too many red lights???
I will plan on a few Fri nite drags instead!! And hopefully get Sharon behind the wheel before I sell it. Frank got it into the 13's with his run, and now I have to wear a helmet!!!
Have a few plans in my mind, and yes....... still a Nova.

Well Rick , my car goes 14.02 , and yours goes 14.10 ,I seem to still have the faster car . Even with the red light , the ET slips don't lie !!!. where were you tonight ?, the Java Hut was good , met up with Ryan , Miller , Tim ,Dominic, and a few others . I see the Harrison Schedule posted as a 'sticky' at the top this forum has the correct dates. Also, it has events not on my printed copy. I guess the one I have is an early edition. I thot once the schedule was released that was it, but obviously updates are made. Probably a good idea to use the sked here rather than any hard copies picked up early in the year.

I'm in Montana, and am not gonna be able to go... but, I thought I'd just throw this at'cha. I raced at the NHRA ET bracket finals @ Mission in '97. That is best track in the world!!!! Great facility, fantastic people, and the track!?!?! WOW!!!! I've never been down a smoother piece of track. I knocked .6 off my 8th mile time! I went from runnin 7:20's to a 6:600!Granted, my home track, Lost Creek Raceway, is at 5200' actual elevation with a corrected altitude of sometimes over 9000'. I was considering applying for dual-citizenship, but, I'm not real good with foreign languages.

Had a good time , met up with Henry and a few new people from the site . Henry has photos and will post . I sure would have liked to run the L-79 again , but saw my old car there running a second slower with a big block compared to my small block ( 10.20 @132 MPH ) . My nexy car will be a 66 with a small blk , liberty , and 12 bolt , with licence plates !!!! and a bit of NOS

I had a great time at the Show & Shine and also watching the races. It was also nice to meet up with Frank. :)
There were more Novas and Acadians on the track than there were at the show. There pictures from the show are on page 9 and page 10 has most (I think I missed a few) of the Acadians & Novas that ran on the track. Most of them ran real well and put a lot of F@rds in there place. ;) You guys really missed a great show.
