Dyno results

Hello, somewhat new to this forum and definatley new to Chevy. But I just bought my 1st one and it is a 1970 nova with a 406 and a 350 turbo. I just had it dynoed today and here are the results: Keep in mind I had KNOW idea what they would be because when I bought the car the prior owner was not able to give me any specs due to the fact that he didnt know. I knew it didnt run quite right so I switched out the carb and replaced a plug wire and it now seems to run very well.

Does anyone know why there is such a huge difference in torque vs horsepower?

Wow..I'm not sure but it looks like you have a torque monster!:eek: I can't say I have ever seen numbers like that.

Can you post up the dyno graph?

depends on the combo of the engine parts. 400 sbc are a very good platform for building a torque motor. at what rpm is peak torque at?

What stall converter?

I didnt get a graph with it. I seen the graph on the computer while they were doing it, but he never gave me one. He did print out and give me all the numbers though. I dont know how to post them on here, but I can take a picture and email to you and maybe you can post? Sorry not really handy with computers.:confused:

Not sure why my camer will not focus well enough to read the numbers ( It was a expensive digital camera ) but its possible im not using the camera correctly. I can fax the numbers though once I get to work tomorrow if someone wants to give me there fax #. I would really like someone else to check this out to confirm because I thought it was odd as well. In the mean time I will keep putsing with my camera and try to get a descent shot.

Try putting your camera in "macro" mode.

I show my peak horsepower and torque @ 66mph for whatever reason I dont see my rpm on here. I have had these guys dyno my 442s in the past plenty of times and have always had a graph print out and my rpm on there as well. Who knows maybe I am reading it wrong. I would like to fax this to someone though If I am not able to get a picture of it.
