Tonight's meeting may have been the measure by which all future meetings are judged.
We had 6 people show up, and get this, ALL OF THEM DROVE NOVAS TO THE MEETING!!! Normally 6 Novas showing up would only tie last months record, but because everyone attending the meeting drove a Nova to it, the record is officially shattered.
Get this, we also had an official meeting agenda and actually talked about all of the items on the agenda. This agenda was listed in a previous thread. In summary:
1) The club's format is changing slightly. The club's primary focus is now going to officially be the monthly meeting. This was done to reflect what we can currently support for club activities and to make sure we're all on the same page as far as the club's focus. If can swing it though, we'll try to get folks together for "events" during the show/race season.
This club format may change when we get more membership and can sustain more activity.
2) We've decided to decline pursuing the Multnomah Hotrod Council membership. This is partly due to our #1 decision, our club's current small size, and the lack of benefit we currently perceive from being a member of that organization.
3) We do have an official event on the horizon. The normal August meeting is being replaced by the "Cruizin with the Cops" show on August 13th at Clackamas Community College. See the thread in the events forum for more details. I'll have a registration form available shortly for you guys to print out and send in, if you want to save $5 getting in on event day.
After the official meeting business was done, we retired to Benny's back lot and the three 67s in attendance put on a small burnout show. After that I took a new Nova lineup shot for the club home page.
Great meeting guys!
The new Nova lineup pic is on the club home page already. Everytime a Nova attendance record is broken, the new image will get posted. :D
I even did some touchup work on the group shot and edited out the telephone pole that was in the background.

Brandon's shot came out much better than I anticipated. He actually did create some smoke. All of them came out pretty good. =D>

Again, great meeting guys.
If anyone else in the greater Portland/Vancouver area is lurking and would like to get involved in the club, we'd love to have you onboard. If we keep this up, it can only get better.
