Dan, I did not make it. With the rain I decided not to bring the wagon out. I thought maybe it would rain again. When my wife and I arrived at our friends house in Clinton. They were just finishing up taking down wallpaper in their bathroom. The husband went right for the couch once we showed up. I wanted to take the ride to at least check the cars out. I was out voted 3 to 1 on going at that point. I would like to still meet up soon. I heard they do a couple of cruise nights at some of the dinners on 22. Maybe we can meet up on Thursday night and get some food. Let me know. I would still like to go to the Flemington show also.

Maniac, Man I was all over your wagon a few weeks ago. Man that is one nice original car. Just perfect patina and looks like it has been sitting for 35 years just waiting to go for a ride. Love wagons!

I got lucky to find the wagon :D . It was sitting in a barn in Canada for 30 years. It has been repainted once. I still have a few things to do to it. My wife calls it a go cart. It is alot different to drive than my 74. I still have to get used to no power steering. I will not be up in Somerville on Friday. I am planning on taking a run down to the Nationals in Maryland. I was thinging about going to Flemington on Saturday Night. I'm sure Dan will be there again. If I do not see you on Saturday I will definitly see you in Somerville soon.

Hey Bill, It was nice to meet you and Karen. That show is really laid back in Flemington. I had alot of fun. The cruise back was fun too. I am glad I ran into you. That is the most miles I have put on the wagon in one trip since I have owned it and felt alot better knowing someone else was around. I just finised replacing my engine cross member and sway bar bushings. I did hit 75 mph at one part of the ride. I really like your car. You did a great job with it. Maybe I will see you in Somerville next week. I am planning on going back to Flemington in 2 weeks. Maybe we can get a few more Nova's to show up. See you soon!!!

CALLING ALL NOVA'S!!!!!!!!!!

I want to see if a few more people want to meet up in Flemington, NJ on Saturday August, 12. The cruise starts at 5:30. It is best to show up at 5 to get a parking spot. Flemington is not too far from New Hope, PA so if anyone from PA wants to meet up that will be great.

Bill, I hope to see you on Friday in Somerville. I will not have the wagon out. I have to go to dinner with my Parents. I talked them into taking a walk around and checking out the car. I hope you can make the next Flemington show. I am trying to get a few guys together at my house to cruise down together. Let me know if you would like to do that.

Dan, I hope you will be able to make the show. I am hoping on meeting you before the AC show.

Where is the cruise night held I live about 20 min away from Flemington.

novamaniac
3rd-August-2006, 12:04 PM
The cruise is held on main street in Flemington. They have a DJ set up in front of the Union Hotel. I believe you can get to main street from one of the circles they have while you are on route 31 in Flemington. Last week was the first time I went in 10 years, so I do not know good directions.

I see the picture of the wagon you own. That is really nice :D.

It would look great parked next to my 63 Stock Nova Wagon :chev:

Have you ever been to the Friday night show in Somerville?

It is a really busy show. It is very hard to get a parking spot unless you go early.

Anyway, I hope to see you at the show in Flemington. I am planning on being there at 5:00.

The cruise night is just on the 12th or every Sat. I will try to make it. I will probably be easy to spot.

I would go to Somerville but I currently get 6 mpg so I keep it close.

The Flemington cruise night is every other Saturday.

As far as the Somerville show. Most of the time I do not show my car I just walk around. There is way more cars in Somerville than Flemington.

As far as getting 6 mpg I can understand not wanting to drive anywhere.
I get almost 20 mpg with both my Nova's.

I really hope to see you in Flemington.

Had a good time hanging with 72Orange and his father and friend Brian . Lots of nice cars.

bigkaboose, We missed you!!!!!!!!!! We saw your wagon in front of the Union Hotel when we were walking out, but you were not around. Nice looking Wagon. We were hoping to eat outside on the porch, but all the spots were reserved so we had to eat inside and missed you. Did you see my Blue 63 Wagon? Bill Cole's Nice Red 67 was parked in front of me. Did you get a chance to talk to Bill?

Anyway, I hope to see a few more Nova's next time

Sorry I was actually eating inside the hotel as well. We parked walked around and than tried to eat out side but they said they were all taken... I counted 20 open tables? Oh well I really didnt like the hotel, the service was horrible. Sorry I would have said hi to everyone but I have no idea what everyone looks like. I saw everyones cars though. Nice wagon! Ill post a pic of me and my car so next time if you see me you will know who I am. It was awesome parking in front of the hotel when it was time to go I started my car up and scared the crap out of the people sitting outside.

novamaniac
14th-August-2006, 02:52 PM
Yeah!!! The hotel was not that good. Maybe, Next time we can always meet at a certain time or if you have a cell phone. We/I could call you. Lets see how many people want to meet next time.

No prob I will give you my cell if I can make the one in two weeks. I was literally turning a wrench on my car up until 5 minutes before I left. Some reason the diff is leaking and cant seem to locate the leak. Name is Pete. I will post some new pics of my car with me in it so I am easier to locate. Probably going to go eat at that pizza place across the street looked like they had tables out as well. Cheaper!!

It looks like I am not going to make it on August 26th.

The 74 body work got pushed back until Sept. 5th.

I should have it ready for the Sept 9th cruise in Flemington a week before the AC show :D..

Hey Bill Cole, Sorry I did not stop bye in Somerville. I have been having serious problems with my 74. It broke down on me 2 days in a row. Then I replaced the ignition cole module and than the car would not start at all. That is when I jumped in the wagon and took a spin up town. I lucked out last night when I got back, my neighbor helped me take apart the distributor and the pick up coil wires were shorted.

Hopefully today I will get it running quick and do a little cruising:cool:
