Had a great time last weekend in Lynden Wa. About 350 cars and some really nice ones. New owners this year after 12 years!! They only had 6 weeks to prepare, so needless to say.... lots of room for improvement. Classes were cut waaaay back. No restored class for anything!! Cars like ours entered either Chevy Muscle or Classic?? That's it. Very happy to report I was beaten by a 66 Acadian ... blown & bad!!..... and from BC!!!!

Yeah!! The guy that built it is 72 yrs old and campaigns the car in Nostalga drags. He was at Pacific Raceways (Seattle/Kent area) and will be at our strip in Mission this August. Notice the bias ply front tires!!!

hey bogus,
i think that is reese mitchell's car.it used to be called the'tazmanian devil' and was from the brookswood area of langley.i remember it well cause it was featured in car craft(i think or similar mag) around 1985 and they bragged about the innovative flip frt end with an opening hood.it used to be kind of rootbeer brown.a real wet dream for all us poor kids especially the car crazy ones.i remember the cops pulling him over regularly and that he ran some weird stuff at the time like an olds transmission or something.his brother as i recall had a very cool 56 belair with a 426 hemi.really pissed off the chevy purists! as far as who built it , i have no clue.very cool car though.saw it in person last year at the langley cruise in.thx,cj.

Bogie, were the only Novas there 1st and 2nd gens?? I see everything else in the background, even what looks like an old McCormick tractor, but no other Novas.:( Is it that there wasn't any, or do you just hate us like spoiled step-siblings??:o
