I bought a new set of Hoosier quick time pro's and I have to use tubes with them. Does anyone know if I have to put screws through the wheel into the tire? I won't be going to the track any time soon but maybe a little street racing.

Well, if it hooks hard enough it'll spin the wheel inside the tire which could pull the valve stems off the tubes. Have you tried them tubeless? If they don't leak real fast, I'd run them tubeless.

i've got ET streets and run them tubeless. they hold air just fine. the guy at the race shop said the tires say "tubes required" in order to get the DOT certification. just another opinion.

I run my et drags tubeless with screws. The only reason you may get a leak is actually because the sidewalls are so thin they will allow a little air to escape throught them belive it or not. Simple fix though, take some dish soap to the tire shop and have them put a light film of it on the inside of the tire before they mount the tires. They will hold air just fine.

I run my ET Streets without tubes. I have quite a few friends running Hoosiers without tubes also. You don't need tubes.
