What is the accepted amount of steering wheel play. Just installed the CPP mini subframe kit. I noticed the play seems a lot. Any tips for adjusting the steering gearbox.

What year of car? On my '73, there is a nut on top of the steering box with a bolt that takes an allen wrench. Loosen the nut and "snug" the bolt with the wrench then tighten the nut to hold. Sorry I don't have any actual torque specs, but I have done this on a couple of '70s chevys and it works good to clean up the slop. Just don't go cranking down too tight or it will start eating the gear from the tension.

:) It is on a 64 I will try the adjustment and see if it helps. Thanks for the tip.
