i bet ta get lifter bores and galleys machined would cost a pretty penny... Way too rich a project for this po'boy ;)

Where's Bryan?? If he's going to have a Nogo coffee table, it might as well be a piece of Chevy history!!!

Why would the cam tunnel be bored if it was intended to be an overhead cammed engine?

To drive the distributor.
The big parts stash that was bought in Green Bay last summer had a pair of GM aluminum heads that had 59 casting dates. Could be from one of these engines.
