Whose up for another run to the Mission Fathers Day show June 18? Last year we had about 10 Chevy IIs and Acadians. We picked up cars all along the way, finally gathering about 9AM at the Tim Hortons across from Mission Raceway Park. From there we had our own cruise to Heritage Park where we were all able to park together. This is a fun show with about 2000 cars. It's all over by 3PM, so everybody can head home for their Dads Day BBQ.

I am up for it.
I will attempt to force my brother-in-law in the car. He is staying with us that week, visiting from out of Province. I have a feeling he will want to come, as he is an old Mopar guy, and had one of them Duster 340 4 speed thingies a few years ago.

Where is that Tim's, not familiar with its location. Can someone give me an address, so I can google map it, or directions.

Across the street from Mission Raceways, in the same parking lot as the Silver City Cinema.

"Across the street from Mission Raceways, in the same parking lot as the Silver City Cinema."
Henry,
I guess that would be right by Tin Hortons then??

So, where is Silver City Cinema?, and don't tell me its by Walmart, cause don't know where that is either.

I am a lost puppy trying to find anything but the track in Mission.

Directions from the #1 Highway bridge could be useful, or I could follow Frank, FRANK, you there?
I have to shout, I can hear the screamin RPM's on the highway now.
We could meet at 160st bus park, by maybe 8:15.

So you say you could find your way to the track in Mission, but not across the street from the track? ;)
I probably won't be there this time. Here is a link. Maybe it helps you a little.

Pat, it's in the shopping centre across the highway from Mission Raceway. Boston Pizza, White Spot, London Drugs, Canadian Tire, Wendys, Tim Hortons...they're all in there.

Is my Alzheimers showing?? Lost before I leave home.

Alzheimers= I have a new wordrobe every morning. I can hide my own easter eggs, and like Frank, wake up to a new woman every AM LOL LOL.
Or, should I start acting like I have Alzheimers, then if my wife catches me in bed with a stange woman, I have a legit excuse.

Has anyone done a count yet? How many of us going?

Hey Rags.... Glad to see at least one other guy doing some long trips. I seem to be the only one around these parts!!  Although a lot of guys drive their rides locally (in good weather!!).. they stay in the garage when it rains. 68SSgrampa puts on app. 6000 miles a year!! And 94 octane!! Do you actually drive your ride?? or trailer it?? We do not own a trailer queen!! We did Wenatchee a while back and are leaving this morning for Coeur d'Alene Idaho.. 425 miles each way and 92 octane!!! Who cares!! If it rains, we turn on the wipers!! If it gets cold.... we cuddle, 'cause we don't have a heater!!!!

Have fun guys..... we're out of here by 9 am !!! Bogie

hey bogus,
you my friend have captured the true flavour of hotrodding!congrats!who cares if it shows a little wear,a little smoke,a little character.it's about getting out there and enjoying your hobby.i don't hassle the purist about their trailer queens, but i like to make a lotta noise and some tire smoke once in a while too.
besides, the challenges on the road are what gives you the memories.thx,cj

It was a great day! Perfect weather. I think there were more cars than last year when they said there were 1600. 15 Novas & Acadians in our row (1963 to 1973) and a couple more elsewhere that got separated on the cruise-in. Ryan (Dubldown) was the official photo guy. He has a ton of pics to process, so you might have to wait awhile to see them. We welcomed quite a few new Nova/Acadian folks to the event...Craig (1966 SS), Kelly (1967 SS), Bruce & son (1971 Nova Coupe) Gerry & Brianne (1973 SS), Gizelle & Jane (1963 Nova 4 door) just to name a few. Missed Ric (Bogus/ClonerL79) and Henry (65SD) this year. This is a great family event for Fathers Day and everybody had a wonderful time.

Well, it sounds like I missed another fun day in the Park!! Our Coeur d'Alene trip was a blast. Put almost 1000 miles on the Cloner and she runs like a top!! Got into some rain on the way there, but cleared up for the Sat show!! About a thousand cars and some should be in magazines!!!!!!!  Didn't do the Fri cruise... poured with rain, so decide to have a good meal and a few drinks instead!!! Gotta clean off the bugs and get her ready for the Can-Am Nationals this weekend in Lynden Wa. A 3 day event and this will be our 11th year in a row. Another fun show!! Bobbi has come down a couple of times as a looky-loo!!! and a free brew!!
ps the Cloner got a tad cool going over the pass.... and no heater!!! We cuddled!! And Sharon made me promise the next project will have a heater & a radio!!! I said "do they have to work??" and she said "Oh yeah!!"

The pics from the show are almost ready to go. I've got them all loaded on my PC at home, just need to finish transferring them over to my cardomain site. I've put up a few pics already from the drive over to Mission and a few from the Tim Hortons parking lot. I hope to have them all up by tomorrow and will create a new thread in the show and shine section then. You can take a look at the few that are already up by going to the cardomain link in my signature. Pics from this years show will be on page 4.

Thanks.

Great job on the pictures, Ryan. If a few folks hadn't got misdirected on the way in, we would have had 15 cars in our row. Not bad considering some of the cars we had last year didn't make it this year. Our parade from Timmy's to the park is kinda neat, too.
