How do you go about polishing up the chrome? trim around the side windows?? Mine looks like it is oxidized or corroded or something. What compound, chemical, polisher, etc. do I need to shine the trim up? Or is it a lost cause......

The best way is to take it off and have the anodizing removed, polish it and either leave it that way and reinstall it or have it re-anodized and put it back on.
I saw your thread about STL insurance and I'm in Affton and have stripped the trim on my 74 and polished it and I have some methods that will take the old anodizing off and have polishing wheels but you might also consider sending them to Glucas on this site. That's what he does.
PM me if you want to talk about it.

I've been told once you take of the rear qtr trim you can't put it back on. But I've also seen repros on year one. I would love mine to shine like new!:)

OOPS! I must have started reading then got distracted and read the info for the 66-67. The 68-72 item was for the rear window. Sorry.:o
