What type of metal is the shiny trim around the door windows and rear 1/4 window on my 70? Also how do I polish it or where can I send it out to get polished? From what I've seen, this stuff is worth some money and I'd like to keep it on my car. It just has some slight scratches and primer overspray from the previous owner. Thanks, Jason.

Probably stainless or chrome. I use SimiChrome polish for all the brightwork. Light scratches can be removed with fine scotch brite, then polished up.

I believe they are Aluminum.Polished then Anodized.

I believe joe is right. If you have ever seen a set for sale though, you would think it is actually white gold!:eek:
