I have saw much worse fixed. Usually it was a much more rare car. Then again I have saw people spend tons of money on rusty Chevy pickups that weren't worth saving.

There are a lot of worse cars out there. As long the Pontiac specific parts are usable, you will probably be fine as most parts are the same as a Nova.
