Here is an update on this... I you wish to install a spell checker which is better than the last one we had installed. This one you can add words to, you can use with any web-based text entry (e.g. web mails (hotmail, yahoo, etc, forums, blogs, diaries). Even if your web application already includes spell checking functionality, you might still want to install this utility because it is definitely much faster than a server-side solution. Plus you get to store and use your personal word list across all your applications, instead of maintaining separate ones on each application.
The program installs as a new button in the IE toolbar (as well as a new menu item under "Tools") - after filling in a form (post/thread), just hit the ieSpell button and it pops up a dialog, similar to the MS Word spell check. ieSpell also works (right-click menu only) on other IE based browsers such as SlimBrowser, CrazyBrowser, MSN, MyIE, etc.
Visit this site to get this award winning spell checker, and the best thing is it can be used free of charge. http://www.iespell.com/
I just used it on this thread for the first time and it's the same as a spell checker with MS Word, etc. Awesome...

I thought that everyone used IE... I guess not, but I don't think this will work with Netscape or Opera. What I would suggest doing is going to the web site and checking out their discussion group.

I have been using the one in the other room too. Really good for grammar.
Also if I want to spell check, I cut and paste it into my word processor. Then paste it back into the note. Just as quick (or faster) as the other ones I have tried. It even works with Netscape! :p

IeSpell, thanks for the info. I tried it on the paragraph in the first message. Only 3 of the words I had to type, it fixed 50% directly, the rest had the correct word in the list.
