Does anyone know how or where i can decifer the axel code on my rearend. The numbers on nova resource arent even close to what i have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'll wager that if you posted the numbers you would get faster results.

These are the numbers and their locations:
on the axel tube...PSO111G E
on the center section...389486ONF
also on center section...L296

The rear in my 72 doesn't match the charts at NovaResourse either. But who knows if it was swapped since 1972 or if the wrong code was stamped. Also make sure it really is "PS" and not "BS" (which IS a 12-bolt). Also, what year car is it in?

Well it definately says "PS". Its in a '69 nova which I'm sure it didn't come in. The car was originally a 307 car.
