IS there supposed to be a bushing where the rod attaches to the pedal? Anyone have some underdash pics of the assembly (or assembly manual pics)?

Thanks!

I don't see one in the breakdown if you are talking about where the metal part of the clutch attaches to the arm going out the firewall. It shows a special washer and a clip:)

Thanks. In looking at the hole in the pedal arm, and the diameter of the mating rod (the one that passes through the firewall), it does not look like there is much room for a bushing, as it is a relatively tight fit.

However, the steel-on-steel bearing seems a little wierd to me. What did GM use to lube this joint to prevent binding / wear?

I just lube it up with grease when I assemble it.
