First hits with the new engine

Well, took the car to the track this weekend for a test n tune.

Got three hits in the car:

1st pass, Launch RPM 3300, shift RPM 6500, tire pressure front/32, rear/14. Launching off of the button, with front & rear line locks. Had high Rev limit set to 7000 and it hit the rev limiter on the 1st second shift, but other than that, it pulled hard all the way through.

2nd pass, same tire pressure, changed launch RPM to 3700, and shift RPM to 6800. Changed the high rev chip to 8000. Didn't seem to make much of a difference. 1st 2 runns extremely consistent...a very good thing.

3rd pass, everything the same, except went up in jet sizes to 79 fronts, 88 rears. Car picked up a bit, but not much. Jetting is pretty much where it should be. Still not much of a difference in ET.

I'm very happy with the results. The car is not set up exactly like it should be to get the most out of the engine, but as long as it's consistent, I like running right where it is now. :)

The car is there, but I'm gonna need to work on my reaction times! I can do that though. I'm just hoping to go some rounds this year seeing as how the car is looking to be more consistent than it ever has been.

Now that you've posted how consistant your car is, I'll not be caught unawares if you show up to Lost Creek in MT, or if I come down and run the Nightfires or something else in Boise.
It doesn't look like you really gained enough raising your launch and shift points to warrant winding your combo the extra amount. I won the super pro championship @ Lost creek in 2k with a 468 that had six seasons on it w/o so much as a bearing change. Looks like you've got an awesome (consistant) ride man. Make it live and it'll take you rounds. You'll tighten up that loose nut behind the wheel and be TOUGH.
