need help removing the rear bumper of my '69. i started taking the tail lights out but realized they won't come all the way out until the bumper is off. i removed the 6 or 8 on the bottom, but it looks like there's four big bols that run along the top of the bumper. I can't access the nuts from my trunk, and i can't find a place from behind the bumper... does anyone know how to remove those bolts? thanks!

there is like 2 bolts or so per side that bolt the rear bumper bracket to the rear valance...unbolt them...very easy to do....DO NOT UNBOLT THE CARRAGE BOLTS THAT YOU CAN SEE WHEN LOOKING AT THE BUMBER FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR....crawl under the rear of the car and you will see 2 bolts on each side that bolts the bumper brackets too the car....they are what you want to remove...too easy and works all the time...good luck

I tried the same thing at first, looking for all those bolts to take out.. I think there are three bumper bracket bolts on each side then the bumper will come off. If your paint is in good shape you may want to get A second person to hold the bumper while you remove the last bolts so it doesn't scratch the paint.
