Could someone explain briefly the difference in these year models. Body wise. I can see the front ends were changed a little but other than that what else?

There were some slight revisions, most notably the tail and parking lights. The grille was slightly changed but most people can't tell the difference. 1973 was a more substantial revision. The fenders, hood and trunk lid stayed the same but the front and rear ends look totally different. Larger front and rear bumpers, a different grille and new tail lights. The vent windows on the doors were replaced by one-piece door glass and the rear quarter windows was made larger and more square in shape (1968-72 was more triangular). What you don't see is a new floor pan. 1973 actually is very similar to 1975-79 because the passenger compartment and trunk floor pans are the same. 1974 is mostly the same as 1973 with some very minor differences. Take a look at the galleries on my site to get some pics: http://www.novaresource.com/g68.htm http://www.novaresource.com/g69.htm http://www.novaresource.com/g70.htm http://www.novaresource.com/g71.htm http://www.novaresource.com/g72.htm http://www.novaresource.com/g73.htm http://www.novaresource.com/g74.htm 69NovaSS 4th-April-2006, 03:04 PM 1968-72 are basically the same. '73 was also the first year the hatchback was offered;) alphin587 5th-April-2006, 05:20 PM How hard is it to find parts for these cars. Is there many companies that remanufacture the parts for the body and interior? Baby 5th-April-2006, 05:50 PM depends on what you you are looking for. If you are looking for body parts they are easy to find. If you are looking for rear quarters they are hard to find if you are looking for a full quater panel for a 73-74 they are a pain to find. taz3 6th-April-2006, 12:13 AM I can find them gettin them is another story everything is on back order I'm ready to SNAP. | |
