Is it bad to paint the jams and inners with single stage urethane and then the outside of the car with base coat clear coat?

No not really. You should be able to achieve a good match.

After that, make sure that you consult w/your paint supplier so that you get compatible paint products. On mating joined edges that differ in paint types, you'll need to watch the re-coat times and prep requirements of the two products.

Why bother?

You can do it but why buy additional products?
With some brands you are going to have to buy different reducers and hardeners for SS and BC/CC. You also have to buy two seperate cans of paint.
While colormatch will not be exact between SS and Bc/CC it should not be far enough off to tell the difference beteen jambs and the outside IF the person that mixes it at the paint store mixes it right.
Based on my experience that is a big IF in the last sentence.
If you stay with BC/CC for all of it you get some extra spraying practice when doing the jambs. This should make you better when painting the outside.
If you still want to do it, follow Max's post.
