that's right...the nova from "carlito's way" is once again on ebay, and the BS is deeper than ever. this car might run 9.9's in the 1/8th mile, and i'm pretty sure that's not an LT-1.

I'm not a member of ebay but I wonder if someone from here can email Bongwater and ask him if he has the time slips to prove 9.9 1/4 mile claim.
Even if that supposed LT1 was nursing a bottle I really dought he could pull a time like that.
One thing is for sure this guy isn't the biggest idiot, it will be the poor SOB who pays more than 50k for this car.:D

He needs to be slapped and have his face drown in a vat of pig intestines.
I also wonder who did the typing for this character. He has the grammar of a 3rd grader.

Interesting how the car supposedly $400K at B-J is sitting in front of a $75,000.00 house. No bid at $50K. I guess the ebayers aren't as stupid as they look.

YES AL PACINO YOU ARE WELCOME TO BID ON THIS CAR
If crack makes you think that is a $50K car, or even worse, a $400K car, then I sure as hell don't want any!!!!:D
At best it is a half finished custom. He made quite a few body mods, but left the interior completely stock, (except for the shifter) and sprayed rubberized undercoating on the undercarriage. And I don't see those hooking for a 9.9 1/4.

Yeah! A 47K story MINUS the puctuation! Looks like he must have slept through that part of english comp 101. What exactly is the 3d paragraph supposed to say? That's probably an early 3d gen Camaro 305 TPI engine. Not to mention a waste of a 1st gen Camaro front bumper. Please get it out of my driveway before anyone that knows me drives by!

THERE WAS AN OFFER OF $100000 AT THE END OF FILMING BY ONE OF THE STARS
Then why didn't you take him up on the offer instead of taking half as much on ebay?
See the reason no one is willing to pay that much is because he's on ebay, its ugly, and people who think that car looks good don't own compruters or get on tha inanets. Let him take it to down town Memphis where they'll spend that much just to put crome rims on a rusty 84 caprice :D.
He'll either sell it or it will get carjacked :). Next time he sees it it will have a set of 20's.
It might not look as terrible if it were jet black or something dark and solid. That flame job makes it look like a circus attraction.

After all the talk here about the car, I noticed that the movie was going to be on, so I recorded it. Admittedly I just fast-forwarded through most of the movie, but... As far as I could tell, there is a 2-minute-long scene shot inside the car as they are driving along (all you see of the car is the headliner), plus a shot from outside of them parking and getting out of the car...about 5 seconds long. That's near the beginning of the movie, then the car never shows up again. Not exactly the star of the picture. Did I miss something?

I was flipping through the channels and caught the 10 seconds the car was in the film. Not worth bragging about. My brother-in-law owned a car used in a movie. He bought and sold this Monte Carlo for $500 after it was done being used in the movie. The movie was filmed in Benton, IL. where he lived

You are all correct in that the ebay posting was bogus. I am the owner of the Nova. Someone photographed the car in my driveway and posted the ad. I was alerted and contacted the person and he withdrew the posting. The guy purchased another car from me that I was selling and asked if he could take pictures of my Nova. The next thing I knew, the car was on eBay. Most of the information he posted was false...he made it up.
Despite all the negative comments by many of you, my Nova is certainly a conversation piece. It may not be to your liking, but it has brought me a lot of enjoyment.

Thanks, Dan, for the welcome. I understand that you edited some of my comments; however, some of the comments made which caused me to respond could have used a little editing. It's one thing to comment on someone's car. It's another to comment on people's intelligence or home, even though I was not the one who posted the ad filled with incorrect grammar, spelling and punctuation on eBay, and the house in the picture is my neighbor's. By the way, the car "under the tarp" is a 1965 Mustang Fastback, which I am restoring for my daughter. In my garage is the Nova as well as a 1957 Chevy which I restored for my son.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I was young, customizing cars was the rage. This car would have fit right in. I remember helping a guy frenching in some 59 Caddy tailights into the back of his 58 Chevy. 54 Chevy grills were very popular back then, as were 58 Buick grills. Few people wanted to keep their car stock.
You may like it. You may not. Either way, I'm just trying to keep the peace here.;)

HA !!! awkward situation ta say the least !!!
we have a tendency ta critique E-Bay and critique rather harshy... our "tits" been caught in a wringer a few times now... here we bag (or not in lotsa cases) and find the owner a new or a lurking member... think of the embarrasment it causes us once we find somthing we trashed on E-Bay, the owner winds up here and calls us out... which is happening here... and rightfully so...
we try to be very honest about our likes and dislikes... we don't want to offend a member so with a high degree of respect we tell them that we don't care for this or that about their rides... when it's on E-Bay i guess we never really expect the guy ta show up here so we kinda let it all hang loose...
i'll not go back on my comments stating i don't care for your car... i don't... but i WILL apologize for stating it in a disrespectfull manner to which you might have been offended...
all's i can say now is i hope this discretion is forgiveable and you'll join the Site and see with a short time just what we are really made of... don't let this one instance ruin the comradery we all share here... we would like you to join if you'd like...
