I recently started sanding my nova the other day and I decided I'm just going to primer it until summer. I would like pics of primered novas to see if I like a light or dark color primer. Thanks

I love you car Trbulnc Atlantis 24th-March-2006, 07:29 PM 69gofast, Trbulnc, both ur cars are BADAZZZZZZZZZ cant get enough of those super-beefy tires in the back and the roll cages just scream RACE ME taz3 24th-March-2006, 08:02 PM So glad you guys posted the front of the cars cause they don't seem to be anything I'd see in my rear view LOL!!!!Sweet rides. 69gofast 24th-March-2006, 10:55 PM Trbulnc.......Very nice, has the body been blocked? If it hasn't been prep'd, that is even more amazing! Thats the one thing that sucks with mine, it hasn't been body worked yet. I've just quickly blocked mine enough to have a good base for the Epoxy. I so can't wait to get mine in the booth. Trb....Are you going to keep the car in the primer or going to paint? Also, many thanks to you guys on the prop's for the work I've done....This is by far one of the coolest sites around and one of the most helpful Oh, back to the post, that primer goes on alot lighter, it dries about 2/3 shades darker. Flyer.........You know I need to post that old video....I really wish I had something to show new with the car, just a Rack system and probably the last thing until money saved for the body Later guys the FLYER 24th-March-2006, 11:08 PM set up the camera, do a REAL nasty burn out... and post 'em both... the aircleaner one is actually cool. fer sure unscripted ;) take it easy  bowtie0069 25th-March-2006, 03:09 AM Red oxide primer is better for wheelies!!http://images16.fotki.com/v273/photos/4/42437/3236199/IMG_9380-vi.jpg Here's a little better shot, but not as high http://images16.fotki.com/v277/photos/4/42437/3236199/IMG_9410-vi.jpg And you don't some big old tire under there either! Kind of like how decals make more horsepower for imports? ;) Atlantis 25th-March-2006, 04:49 PM novaBRO, that looks like a pretty intense slope down to your driveway, your car's chassis doesnt rub? hmmm, as long as u dont try to park any lowriders in there :) bowtie0069 25th-March-2006, 11:08 PM Bowtie0069 how much massaging to get 10.5 tire under the car? It is mini-tubbed now, but I had the tire on there with the stock set-up quite a while. The lips are rolled and I did some pushing out on the 1/4 panels with a scissor jack inside the opening, while beating the bejeezus out of the fenderwells with a big hammer. Got an extra 3/4" clearance and didn't notice the wrinkles high up on the 1/4 panels for almost a week!! Had to do a little smoothing and a lot of block sanding too. taz3 25th-March-2006, 11:23 PM Thanks at some point in time mine were rolled & I think I'm going to leave them up for more tire clearance. Trbulnc 27th-March-2006, 03:20 AM Thanks for the compliments all, was out for Bristol so I was gone for a few days. The car needs to be blocked again, it isn't ready for paint by any means. There are a few places which need a little more attention, but not bad from 5 ft. away but getting there. I want to finish the motor and get it going before I go back to working on the body more which hopefully will be in the next monthish. At the moment, I like the primer black and will probably go with that for a while. Trbulnc 27th-March-2006, 03:21 AM Oh yeah, and my cul de sac is just screaming for some directional pointing marks on the road to come soon. novaBRO 27th-March-2006, 03:24 AM novaBRO, that looks like a pretty intense slope down to your driveway, your car's chassis doesnt rub? hmmm, as long as u dont try to park any lowriders in there :) that's San Francisco for ya lots of hills and small crapy garages. my house is pretty old, built in 1911 had no garage. my dad dug that out himself and put in the garage. cool huh? OB_67_Nova 27th-March-2006, 12:16 PM Hopefully you have an automatic in that ride.
