I searched on here, because I thought if this was true, there would be talk of it here.

I saw an ebay auction for an original 66-67 4 speed console. The seller stated that he thought the repro's were discontinued because of a plastic problem. Any truth to that? Anyone know?

I ask because I have my eye on a 67 SS 327 car. It's a powerglide, but I would have to change it to a stick to suit me!

They are still working on them, as far as I've been told. But the outlook is pretty grim.

Oh man, so does that mean the ones that have sold so far have turned out to be less than desireable?

Please keep us posted! I hope it works, because the going rate for originals is outrageous.

Its the luck of the draw as far as the ones that have been sold so far.

The problem is with the chrome plated plastic. (the bezel). The chrome has a problem with pealing and flaking off of the plastic.

Last I heard, and its been a while, was that Goodmark was waiting for this problem to be resolved. I had a few on order for over a year when I finally cancelled them.

Maybe they will show up again........maybe not!
