this has been asked before im sure but how do i find out what engine i just bought off the id numbers:confused:

Post the codes here. Plenty of people can decode them for you.

The block VIN and application codes are the best to use but the casting number and date will help.

what means the number T0923S h perra
T = engine assembly plant; Tonawanda, NY
0923 = engine assembly date; September 23rd
S = application; 327 w/Powerglide from a 1962-64 full size Chevy (Impala, Caprice, etc)

Look for the casting number and casting date on the back of the block to find out exactly what year.

how can i find out the horsepower in that engine,:) its for the swedish registrering

"S" is for the 327 with a 2-bbl carb rated at 250-hp.
