I'm new to this forum so I would like to share some photos.

Second owner; I bought it in 1969 from my brother in-law. Original 283 V8 60 over and orignal Muncie 4speed. True numbers matching deuce with less then 3500 made with this package. I'm guessing less then 500 still on the road.

I have a 62 drop top being reworked at this time will post picts soon.

Finally started working on her recently. Ran it today with a new balancer and tranny cooler. I realized how much I miss driving it and am now looking for a job that I can work around school to finish my baby.

Well here's my 4 door '64 on the top, with a photoshop edit of what it might be many years down the road underneath. For now, i plan on keepin my 194 in it until i get something else as a daily driver, then i may either bump it up to small block or possibly a hopped up bigger I-6. Plannin on get her painted this summer, either white or pale blue.

A lot of real sweet rides you have! Seeing all these cars makes me feel that a ChevyII/Nova is a common car in the US, is it? Over here they aren´t too common, in local cruise nights and other events you see just a couple of them while Corvettes, Camaros, Challengers, Cadillacs etc. well, there are dozens of them! Even though ChevyII´s were imported in fairly large amounts back then in the sixties together with Valiants and Darts... Many of them have just rotted away, our climate isn´t very gentle to cars :( But anyway, here´s a blurry pic of mine:

It´s a ´64 4-door post with SB and Turbo350, ugly as h**l :D Atleast for now, I think I´ll put better pics of it on the net when I get it repainted... And yes, it´s one of those cars imported to Finland as new. In those days when Volkswagen Beetles, Opels, Ford Anglias and other small european (and Russian) cars were common, a ChevyII was luxury! Full-sized Impalas were even more rare and nobody even dreamed of a Buick or a Cadillac!

Here are two of my recent past novas. The first is a 63 ss car, full prostreet treatment, 12pt cage, narrowed 9in. 4:56's, 29x18.5's, 355ci, Bowtie heads, 12.5:1 JE pistons, .58o lift solid cam...blah blah...a real terror on the streets.

This is the one I should have kept. Race car from the day it came home from the dealership. I was the second registered owner (third total) The guy I bought it from found it in a garage in New Hampshire, No motor or tranny but, the leaf ssprings had been moved inboard, A Dana 60 with 4:88's, an old Moroso steel rectanular fuel cell in the truck, 1/2 fuel lines and not one spec of rust inside or out. The car was originally Marina Blue but was bought by me in primer. I shot the two tone on it. I miss this car and want it back!

I hope the link works! I drive the black 62. The 63 is a true SS and I have factory air for it, it's for the wife. The 64 is the bad boy with a 9", glide w/brake, 434 twin turbo, MII front and a ton of custom stuff.

Here is my 65 Chevy II 100 Post Car.

Pretty much stripped down. Needs to have both driver and passenger side floor pan welded in. And purchase alston front clip as well as there 4 link back half. I will be using steel floors and tubs instead of aluminum since it will be street driven sometimes.

Have lots of work that needs to be done.

If anyone lives in or near by San Clemente is more than welcome to come by and check it out.

1965 ChevyII and OnlyChevy6 check out my 65 Nova 100 post at http://s27.photobucket.com/albums/c172/mcmilgd/? That 65 was my first car and it was the identical car to yours when I bought it in 1968. Blue color, rubber mats, 194 6 and 3 on the tree. The pictures show it with a 66 L79 in it that I used as dragster for many years. Those pictures are from 74. Good luck with your projects. My dad just picked up this Chevy II SS. He's not too computer savvy so I'll likely be doing some research on the site for him. He has the original build sheets for the car along with protecto plate etc. The weather has been crappy so we haven't had a chance to drive the car yet.....:rolleyes:

I am rounding up parts for a 434ci smallblock w/ twin turbo's. The tranny is a glide w/brake and 3500 stall. The rear axle is a MW 9" with all the good stuff. I would like to make it as streetable as I can and still run the new road course that opened last year a few miles from home:cool: The suspension is just a mustang II I put on in the late 80's before all the big boys started doing it, and nascar style truck arm in the rear. The best is it still has a back seat and I can get 14" wide rubber under it:D

So I´m new to this site and want to show you my ride. It´s all original 194 cid with powerglide and working AM tube radio. The seat upholstery has been changed, as you can see. But the real thing, that is really fascinating about this car is that it is assembled in Bienne, Switzerland by General Motors Suisse. The car differs slightly of those made by american GM. The differences are the cowl tag, which is located at the right side of the motor near the shock tower and the additional "lights" at the rear. The cowl tag has also different "swiss" coding.

Here are a few pics of my 65 283 sedan I bought off Ebay four years ago. I had it delivered to my work since it was a easier delivery site then my house. The father and son that I worked for had about 10 classic cars cars between them, so they were into it almost as much as me.There was a Ferrari in front of my car and a Masserati above it, but the delivery guy told me mine was his favorite because he learned to drive in his grandma's Chevy II.
I loved that guy!:) The car came from Arizona and I consider myself very lucky because all the Nova's around here (CT) in my price range were more rust than steel! Anyway its taking time, but year by year Im making improvements on the ole girl. The car has been as much fun as you can have with less then 6 G's!

another project from the 80's. 63SS, out with the 6 in with a 350, kept the glide. swapped out 5 lug front and rear from a 65.
nice original aqua interior. marriage interrupted completion.

28x11.50x15 M/T ET Streets on 8x15 ProStar Welds w/5in offset. Just moved the springs inboard 4 inches. 1 inch clearance in the tightest places.:D

No, but U can go to Photobucket.com and pst pic's that way from your putor. And then U can takes pic's from that and pst them. And the way to do that is this. When U have a pic open up on Photobucket.com right click the picture. A window will pop up. Look where it say's address. Now high light that all the way over to "Jpg" and dont go pass it. Then cut and past it. Then come back here and open up a reply/new thread. Look on the tool bar. You see where the tan/black box that look's like a moutain? click that box and paste your link from Photo bucket on there. There is a sticky on here that better explain's it. But that is the gist of it.

9.80's......Man I hope to get there real soon. 9's that is. I am close now. :)

Got my dream car a few weeks ago, 62 Chevy II Wagon 400!
Just got the engine rebuilt @ Rescino's performance engines in SF. I am keeping the car original granny style. She will be my daily driver + surf mobile. I originally though it was a 194 straight six but turns out that it is a 230 straight six. Working on all new wiring @ the moment. Next up will be minor interior repairs and new paint. STOKED!
