I just sent a front disk kit back to Summit cause they sent the wrong one . Befor i reordered the right kit i talked to the tec . The tec dude was telling me that i had to have DISK brake rims . I have 14in rallys on it now and would like to keep em if i can .

they have special clearance for the rotors and calipers 14`s are a little small for disc brakes i would put a 15 on there:cool::cool::cool:

Great just great ! Now i have to find some 15s That fit on a 64 , not a easy task . I was told that the bolt pattern is 5x4.75 but when i checked i got 5x4.5 ,So wich is right ?

My 15x3.5" Centerline's need spacers to clear the Aerospace calipers, but they clear my 15x7 Rally's. You might try a 1/4" spacer first.

If you choose to install disc brakes you will have to run 15" rims.

However, there are no 15" rims that will allow you to run a 24" diameter front tire which is an ideal size for that era vehicle.

Once you leave the era-appropiate tire size you now join the fraternity of those who are convinced that "Hot Wheels" (oversize tires and rims) look good on these cars.

You make the choice.

My Nova had 14 inch rallys with front discs so Im not sure what the problem is. Not sure if this is a generation issue or something Im not getting. Get the brakes and try out your rims.

Yeah. I already ordered another kit from summit that I hope will work with my 14" rallys. We will see when it gets here. The reason that I would rather keep the 14s than go to 15s is because of the clearance issues with the fenders. It is hard to find a tire/wheel combo for that car that wont rub, especially in the rear. The offset and size has to be just right. I have been told that I can get smaller calipers that will clear even if the rims aren't originally from a disk brake car, but I don't know where i would find them.
