The right Spindle..?

Hey Guys.
Today I saw something horrible on my 1969 Nova. The spindle is completely worn out an lightly bended. So I looked around in some internetstores and now I have one question. Some stores say that the spindle will fit from 68-74 some (f.e. Summit ) says the spindles fit for cars from 1970 and later.
Now who is right?

Do you have drum or disc brakes?

A spindle from the following cars will fit, however drum and disc spindles are different. A drum spindle can be made to work on a disc application except as noted below.
The 67-68 disc spindles are unique to those years and require different rotors, calipers and caliper brackets.

64 - 72 A body
67 - 69 F body
68 - 72 X body


Aftermarket is different and manufactures recommendations should be followed.
