sbc springs vs bbc springs..

got some 2'' drop springs from DSE for an SBC. I've installed them already, the stance looks great. however it appears that the springs colapse way too early. for example: when i have the car jacked up in the front and then let it down slowly.. I notice at a certain point the ride height stays the same and then the frame just keeps dropping with the weight. some of you have probably seen the car on here in profiles. the stance looks great but like i said the frame just keeps dropping until i have 1.5'' from the longtube headers until the ground. would putting in 2'' drop BBC springs for my SBC car help? hopefully someone on here has some experience on this. the car is almost undriveable like it is. can't get it in my driveway without scraping.
