This is my 68 project when I got her. Although far from needing a frame-off restore. . it's definitely not a perfect 68.

The car was fairly solid for an ohio nova (some filler in quarters and a small hole in the floor panel passenger side) but the frame is solid as a rock! It was a stock 307 car, but has an early 70's 350 in it now with rebuilt powerglide tranny.

The car is currently in the body shop getting the floor hole fixed and getting blocked and prepped for paint. Going red with black stripes. . . gonna do a bit of a faux SS look. May put a 2" cowl on there, but also may keep it flat.

Engine is also removed from the car for a freshen up. I'm putting a holley systemax kit on from Jegs as well as some long tubes to improve performance. While I work on the engine, the body shop is also going to powerwash the engine bay and paint it black, as well as re-spray the 350 chevy orange for me. I'm also putting in a b&m ratchet pro as opposed to the hackjob that's in it now.

Kinda doing everything at once with this project nova.

Everything will be complete and ready to post new pics within 10 days.

SO KEEP WATCHIN! SHE'S GONNA BE PRETTY! =)

The project continues.

Right now it's all sanded down and straight/smooth as an arrow. We pulled the motor out and freshened it up with a chevy orange paint job, some vintage mickey thompson valve covers, a holley systemax kit and holley 4bbl 650 carb.

Going on the car will be a 2" cowl hood . . and it's getting painted iroc red with black racing stripes.

Here's some progress pics. . . should be done within a week or so and ready for the road!

Pics . . car is all sanded and ready for paint. . . jams are painted and engine bay and sidewalls are painted

Finishing up today. Decided to undercoat it and ordered a new front filler panel which came in today, as the previous one was cracked. So gotta get that painted/cleared and put on there.

Other than that, finishing the wiring on motor today and getting it fired up and putting in the new shocks.

Tomorrow is the planned day of completion now. Basically 100% this time. We just picked the car apart..so it took a lot longer than originally expected.

Here's some more pics of the project.
