My MSD blaster 3 stopped working so im looking at gettting a hole new ignition box and coil, my old box is very old im guessing +15 years #6400, it still works but i would rather just change them both n be done with it. So im looking at digital 6 box but im not sure what coil i should run and how much of a difference it will make. The cars is street/strip so i dont want a track only coil, i was looking at these http://www.summitracing.com/compare.aspx or would another blaster 3 work just as well? thanks, brian
Basically is there a noticable difference between them....besides the price?

Why not ask MSD since they are the vendor and know the products compatibility better than anyone else?
Also you might check their technical website forum...lots of good information there.

Shocking, an MSD part failed......
Not surprising, I've now had two distributors fail and two 6al boxes fail in the last 4 years. The failed 6al kept me from making the Power Tour this year. Their stuff is chine*** made and it shows.
I'm switching to the following, the majority of competitors at the Engine Masters Challenge use this brand.
If it's a street driven ride, skip the boxes and simply install an HEI, they're very sturdy, dependable, effective, and parts are available at any parts store.
