Parking brake help

i did a search for this and cant find anything:no: i have a 70 and purchased the middle cable because i thought i had everything else. when i went to install it it seems to long i cant tighten it down. the bracket slides up to far on the front cable. is it to long or am i missing a part somewhere? any help would be great thanks.

do you have the hook off the passenger side of the frame connected to pull the cable to passenger side?

what i have is the two hooks or brackets(one on each side) in the back then the front cable with the two nuts on it. is there another bracket that should be somewhere?

yes, there should be a long (about 10") bracket on the pass. side.
