When the car is up on jack stands and I move the tire side to side, the idler arm does this:

Is it supposed to do that much travel?? I have an appointment on the 24th of this month for a front end allignment and want to ensure all the loose ends are taken care of before the man works on it...

That is definately not right. There should be no play between the bolt that goes through the bushings and the mounting bracket.

That's definitely not right. Since you probably are going to have to take the arm off, it would be a good investment to convert to a bearing kit and get rid of that old bushing.

That is scary to think that you were driveing the car like that. Do you have another one?

As for driving the car, I only drove it in the neighborhood since I just got tags on it so it hasn't gone far. I am ordering some new parts on Monday to include the bearing conversion kit...

Looks like somebody got the wrong bushing......

I would also reccomend going with the ball bearing conversion......
