I am glad to hear you plan on driving it. You are are doing such a great detailed job with it I was worried it was going to be a trailer queen.

Thanks for your comment. Looks like you have a nice Nova. I was looking for a 68 when I ran across my 72. I was born in 68 so I wanted that year Nova.

WOW very nice. It's hard to tell, pic #2 shows the body mount.Do you have the heavy metal body spacer installed on top of the rubber mount? Can't remember but it's either 1/4 or 3/8 thick steel. With out it the panels don't line up very. well.

I'm stealing it!! I was looking for a dark blue metallic and saw this on a trailblazer. Now I'm hooked. I will also be doing white stripes but no cowl hood and the car isn't that detailed. You live nowhere near me so I don't think we will run into each other.

Thanks Steve

Hope to get the engine installed this week and start to assemble the front clip next week. I will update the pictures as soon as this happens. My goal is to be behind the wheel in 3 weeks (cross my fingers). I wanted to make it to the Winstar Casino car show this weekend in the Nova. I may be there in the truck. Have you ever been to one of their shows?

Thanks for the info. I will check tomorrow.

Do a search under body shims. When I changed over to solid mounts I was unsure if I should keep them or not. Thanks to others I found they remain.I would hate to see you do all the beautiful work and have something so minor screw with you.

Good lookin project, looks like it is coming together nicely. Off the wall question, but what did you use for your firewall seam sealer and what was your application technique? I am about to re-seal mine and yours has the look I am going for

Looks great. I would like to have a 2 inch cowl hood with some rally stripes. Is that a steel hood? Did you have a stencil for the stripes?

Yes it is a steel hood. The paint shop designed the stripes no stencils made

Really nice car I never had the courage to go with that much of one color, engine, inner fenders, core support, dash, etc.... but it looks realy nice I like the simplicity of the engine compartment with just the right amount of chrome you hit it right on the head for me . Noticed the no bolt hole double hump heads too :yes:. Nice car you should be proud.
