Advantages of lowering springs as opposed to 2" sagging stock ones?

Lets face it, my car bottoms out if there are big people or heavy things in it. My poor headers!:( I am thinking about manipulating my loans to buy some Nova stuff, but I wonder about springs. If I bought some lowering springs would they not bottom out as much as the ones in there now? I guess they would have a more aggressive spring rate?

Worn out springs don't control body and suspension movement, create poor/unsafe handling and other ills. slightly firmer lowering springs will drastically improve your handling and fix your bottoming out. Don't for get to put in shorter bump stops with the shorter springs.

I am debating getting each part individually or just buying the TVS kit from Hotchkis... I can manipulate $2k per semester from my loans and not have to pay it back until after I graduate, but CPP has some cheaper products such as the sway bar. No need to pay $50-100 more for the same thing right? Or is Hotchkis a lot better than the CPP parts?
