rear end offset to drivers side???

starting to fit up my rear an notice it is not totally center on the car it is over a lil to the drivers side. Is this normal? I know I have seen it said on here before that it was a manufacturing thing. Is that what it is? I guess I never really paid attention or couldnt tell on the ground with bumber on and no up in are with not bumber you can tell its over a little from were the gas tank filler neck opening is. Thanks

Its normal. Some of the Chryslers I work on are offest up to one-half inch.

My '65 axle is offset ~ 3/8" to the driverside, if you measure from both 1/4 panel wheel lips to the tire.
