I know this has been beating to death But here's the question. I have a TCI front clip with non coil overs, 2in lowered spindles on my 62 Nova and was wondering what back spacing should I use with 17x7 up front. I have a chance to buy some wheels that only have a 3.75 BS. I've been told 4in BS works, but does .25in make that big of a differences. I was planning to go with a 225/45/17. What do you guys think?

with the 3.75 backspace you may hit the front of the fenders , you might have to shim out the fender brace to get it to clear , the 225 tire will not work though...........

Is a 62 that much different than a 67? I can tell you I have 17X7 4"BS with 235/45 in the front. They will just barely touch the inner fender if fully turned(with oe rotors). With the wilwood kit from TCI it moves the hub out further than the OE gm discs.

3.75" B/S seems a lil too small. I have 8" wheels with 4.75" BS. But I dont have dropped spindles. Most everything I have read here for a first gen car is 17x7 with 4.5" BS and it works well. But again, I would always measure it first. JR
