On my recent search for a seat for my nova I came accross a 1973 oldsmobile omega the car is from what I can tell its 100% rust free with the exception of a couple of dings in the paint where there is surface rust. it needs a back bumper but the rear body looks good otherwise its all parking lot door dings on it. the car is orange with a white vinyl top and white houndstooth interior it currently has a straight six with an auto in it. the car appear to have a ton of paper work in it. it has the owners manual in the bag with some service records and a bunch of other stuff sitting on the seat with it. I was unable to get any pics of it I'm going to go back later and try to get some. For now I'm just wondering what its rough value would be, whats the most I should be willing to pay for the car. thanks

I'd offer about 1200-1500 for it. Then I'd slam a 455 in it:D

$1500 sounds about right, maybe $2000 if its real clean and original, but since were on a nova site , i would put a nova front clip on it and replace the tail panel and lights with bumper and make it a nova.

If I snatch it up its will stay oldsmobile its just to cool and seems pretty unique to change, on the other hand if i get it and it ever gets damaged I may have to make the facelift cause the little bit of research I've done in the last couple of days leads me to believe parts are impossible to find (new or used). I'm going to go out and look at it some more on monday and try to mkae a decision when I'm there.

I do have a tendancy of going into things then figuring them out after the fact, and when i headed out to take another look at this car come to find out it didnt have a transmission and no keys motor ran but barely and the deal killer (for me at least) was it would have to go through state patrol inspection cause it was coming from a wrecking yard. oh well probably better i dont get it anyway i need to focus that money on my nova.
