Picture of my 69 Nova new

Here is a picture of my 69 Nova about three hours after it was bought new. Boy those old pictures were not any good. The car looks almost black and its Lemans Blue. They have sure faded.

Here it is now 40 years sure makes a difference in pictures. No I didnt buy it new but I know the guy that did we are friends.

I want to thank everyone for the compliments on my car. Now when I look at the scars on my self from the knuckle busting I wont feel so bad. The old picture of the car was enhanced a lot of times before it looked as good as it does. It was taken with one of the old Polaroids that developed instantly but at the time it was high tech. :yes:

at the time I think our cars were considered hi-tech as well. not so sure about the present day, though I wish I could have the mentality of someone at about that year and looked at the car as state of the art...

I like the blue. My car has original paint and is Le Mans blue, though it doesn't look as nice. It's somewhere between the new paint and original picture blue. It'll get painted one of these years back to original. Now I have a benchmark on which to compare/aim the quality of application.

Yeah, Your right I thought back then they were. I remember when chevy came out with the 396 in 1965 I thought they were the best looking engine I had ever seen, except for the 348 & 409. Sometimes I wish I had not repainted mine it keeps you on pins and needles all the time.

I hope my 69 Lemans blue car turns out this nice when or if it gets done!:rolleyes::D

That car is gorgeous. Always good to get a car when you know the history. I think if I sold my car to a friend I would have a hard time seeing it with somebody else. Like having your friends date your girlfriend after you break up, I don't like that.:D

Love it!! But then again, I'm partial to steel wheels, dog dishs and red lines!!:D
