stock 73 wheels/hubcaps??

So PA DOT is giving me a hard time with an antique vehicle plate/registration. They say everything is good except my wheels aren't stock. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
Does anyone have any pics of, or links to wheels/hubcaps that would have come stock on a 1973 Nova Custom?

I think the baby moon dog dish cap was one of them,was used from 71-73.You can find them on e-bay sometimes.

right, baby moons with a chevy emblem, i think they were used in 71 to 74. i have 2 but they are ugly. if you want em you can have them.

I don't think the small "dog dish" caps were offered on the Custom but hope the PA DOT isn't that picky about the wheels.

Your Custom most likely would have originally had the full wheel covers that can be seen on pages 2,3,4, and 6 of the 73 brochure. It may have also had the optional Rally wheels as shown on page 7. They were available from the factory in 14x6 and 14x7 sizes. But the same style of wheels are also available aftermarket/reproduction in larger sizes.

I wish I had known about them before I changed my wheels because I might have wanted them. I too have two like that and would like to get rid of them.

I picked up a cheap set of stock style hubcaps on ebay. The style like in the 73 brochure.

They are the steel ones. They were on my four drum car so I don't know if they will fit a disc brake car. They just need light rust removal and paint.
